Do u think computer graphics or web technology will the future trend?

I am interested in computer graphics but honestly, I don't think they are going anywhere so I am studying web technology because it is the future trend (at least I think so). Because I am stock in between so I am neither good at both. So…not sure what to do…any suggestion?
There seems to be more of a shortage of graphics people, but for some reason web tech pays better.
