It has isolated us more. Why bother going out and making friends face to face, when we can just blog on a computer. We spend more time with computers, television and game stations and leaves us less time for personal one on one interaction. There are now more breakups on text messaging and emails. Distance equals safety and security when dealing with problems of a personal nature. It has shriveled our ways of how to deal with people on a face to face interactions.
Cyber bullying is at an all time high with teenagers and emotionally unstabled people. We feel that we would be better heard if it comes in a written form than a face to face confrontation, when all it does is make the recipient more angry do to the impersonalization of the email or text message.
We are becoming more socially inept when it comes to dealing with people on a day to day basis. These social skills are being atrophied when we choose to use the internet or other forms of communication, rather than face to face interactions.
