You might have recently heard about this term called Cloud computing but not really sure what exactly does it mean and how it works, am I right? Well, this concept is relatively new which is why many of us don’t even know a word about cloud computing.
Cloud computing is a brand new paradigm of computing where virtual resources are provided as a service over the internet. The basic idea behind this cloud computing resource is to get the same level of performance and user experience level as in normal computer systems. Hence, users do not need to have knowledge or expertise of the technology infrastructure that is provided in cloud computing system that supports them.
These cloud computing services provide business applications to the customers through web browsers and store software and data on servers for easy access. Since most of the services are provided on Internet, the term cloud has been used as a metaphor of Internet. Lately, cloud computing has created a lot of buzz and many companies are now shifting their spreadsheet processors online, new companies are planning to allow users play high definition games online over the internet. This concept of cloud computing is slowly shifting desktop applications onto the World Wide Web.
Many cloud computing providers have come up that provide cloud computing services to the users. Generally there are three types of cloud computing systems. Public Cloud describes traditional cloud computing services through web browsers and web services. Hybrid Cloud is generally for internal and external use by enterprises. Private Cloud is for vendors that emulate cloud computing system on private networks. It has been predicted that in next few years private cloud networks will be in great demand as more corporate IT firms as switching to it.
